“I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious. ”
— Albert Einstein
The Story
Learning how to dance from high school drill team at the age of 13, I quickly fell in love with the art. By most professional standards, this is late in one’s life to start a dance career. I attended Texas State University for my BFA in performance and choreography (Summa Cum Laude). There I was member of Merge Dance Company and traveled and performed in London, Trinidad, Houston, Austin, New Braunfels and College Station. My works have been featured at Austin Community College, Austin Dance Hub, and Arcadia Live. I have worked with notable choreographers such as Jennifer Sherburn, Andy and Dione Noble of Noble Motion, and Katherine Duke, (artistic director of Erik Hawkins Dance Company). .
The Style
Though I was born a proud Texas Panhandler, I lived in different parts of the Lonestar State my whole life. Raised on Willie and Waylon, Johnny Cash, and Chris Knight, my artistic eye leans into story telling. I like to make authentic movement, movement that means something rather arbitrary chaines and piques.
